Iconic Designs
in Earthenware
Nancy uses earthenware as the substrate for her platters. Earthenware is a very porous clay. It is filled with air, thus making it unstable in the microwave and with high heats of dishwashers. Mineral based glazes are hand-painted onto the earthenware shapes. The piece is then overglazed with a clear cover coat. This overglaze has and will crackle over time. For these reasons, use of microwave and dishwasher are not advised.

The Studio
The studio began producing coordinated textiles and ceramic tableware and people’s love of unique, hand-painted ceramics began. In 2003, Nancy started concentrating on creating the iconic designs adored today, beginning with the Sun Valley Sun. The collection was an immediate hit in the Sun Valley Company Signature Gift Shop. Her work soon spread to other destination resorts, including Jackson Hole, WY and Hotel del Coronado, CA, after creating exclusive designs highlighting the beauty of each environment.
